California Privacy Notice (CCPA)
Introduction and Scope
California residents have a defined set of rights with respect to their personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"). This notice from Fundvalerio tells you what we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and how to exercise each of those rights. It is a California-specific supplement to our broader Privacy Policy.
Categories of Personal Information Collected
In the past twelve (12) months Fundvalerio may have collected the following categories of personal information from or about California consumers: identifiers (such as IP address and email address when you subscribe); internet or network activity (browsing history on the site, referring URL, time of request); geolocation data at the coarse-grained, city-level resolution derived from IP; commercial information (which newsletters you have subscribed to); inferences drawn from this information (such as aggregated content preferences); and audio or visual information only if you voluntarily submit it (for example, a photo attached to a tip you send through our Contact form).
Sources of Personal Information
We obtain the personal information described above directly from you (when you fill in a form or interact with the site), automatically from your device (when your browser requests pages and sends standard HTTP headers), and from a limited set of service providers that operate Fundvalerio on our behalf (such as our hosting provider, edge security provider, and email-delivery vendor). We do not buy personal information from data brokers.
Business and Commercial Purposes
Fundvalerio processes personal information for clearly defined business purposes: delivering the content you request; sending newsletter editions you have explicitly opted into; replying to messages submitted through our Contact and other forms; producing aggregated reports of site usage for editorial and advertising operations; securing the service against fraud and abuse; and complying with our legal and regulatory obligations under California and other applicable laws.
Disclosure to Service Providers and Third Parties
Categories of third parties to which Fundvalerio discloses personal information (always under a service-provider or processor agreement) are: hosting, edge/CDN security, email service providers, web-analytics providers, and advertising networks. Each is contractually limited to the specific business purposes for which the information is disclosed and is prohibited from retaining, using, or disclosing the information beyond those purposes.
Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell or share personal information in the manner described by the CCPA — that is, we do not exchange personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration with third parties, and we do not disclose personal information to third parties for the purpose of cross-context behavioral advertising. This has been true for the entire preceding twelve-month period and remains our standing policy.
Sensitive Personal Information
We do not collect or process sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. To the extent any sensitive personal information is incidentally collected (for example, if you voluntarily disclose it in a message), we use that information only for the business purpose for which it was provided and not for any additional uses requiring further consent under the CCPA.
Your California Privacy Rights
California consumers have, under the CCPA, the following rights with respect to personal information held by Fundvalerio: a right to know (categories collected, sources, purposes, categories of recipients); a right to access specific pieces; a right to correction; a right to deletion; a right to opt out of sale and sharing; a right to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and a right not to be retaliated against for exercising any of these rights.
How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise any of the rights described above, please submit a request through the Contact form linked in the site footer, or by email to the contact address listed on our Contact page. We will need to verify your identity to a degree of certainty proportional to the request — for newsletter records, confirming the email subscribed is usually sufficient; for broader access or deletion requests we may ask for additional information. We will respond within 45 days, or notify you if more time is needed (up to a further 45 days).
You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require the agent to provide written permission from you (or a power of attorney) and may verify your identity directly to confirm the request. Agents acting on behalf of multiple consumers under a single permission must still meet the verification standards required by the CCPA for each consumer represented.
Consumers Under 16 Years of Age
California consumers under the age of 16 are entitled to additional protection under the CCPA. Fundvalerio does not sell or share the personal information of such consumers, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Parents or guardians who believe their child has submitted personal information through a form on the site can contact us via our Contact form and we will delete the information promptly.
Right to Non-Discrimination
We are committed to the CCPA's anti-retaliation principle: Fundvalerio will treat California consumers equally regardless of whether they exercise their CCPA rights. There is no premium or paid tier where rights-exercising consumers receive a lesser experience — the editorial content is the same for everyone. We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for collecting personal information.
Retention of Personal Information
Personal information collected from California consumers is kept by Fundvalerio only for the period necessary for the purposes described in this notice plus any legally mandated retention period. Concretely: newsletter email addresses are retained for the life of the subscription; contact-form submissions are retained up to 24 months; server logs are kept up to 90 days; non-identifying aggregate analytics may be retained indefinitely.

This California Privacy Notice may be updated periodically. The version on this page is always the current version, and the "Last updated" date shows when it took effect.
