OCC Publishes CRA Ratings for 13 Banks and Savings Institutions
The OCC released September 2026 CRA performance evaluations for 13 national banks and federal savings associations.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency on Monday released Community Reinvestment Act performance evaluations for 13 national banks and federal savings associations, covering assessments that became public between September 1 and September 30, 2026.
The CRA, enacted in 1977, requires federal regulators to assess how well banks meet the credit and deposit needs of the communities they serve, including low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. The OCC conducts these evaluations as part of its routine supervisory responsibilities over national banks and federal savings associations.

The periodic release of CRA ratings serves as a transparency mechanism, allowing consumers, community groups, and policymakers to track whether federally chartered institutions are fulfilling their obligations to local communities. Ratings range from Outstanding to Substantial Noncompliance and can influence a bank's ability to pursue mergers, acquisitions, or branch expansions.
The OCC publishes CRA evaluation results on a monthly basis following a standard disclosure period. The September release covers institutions whose evaluations cleared the public disclosure window during that calendar month, consistent with the agency's standard reporting schedule.
