Swedish construction giant Skanska has signed an additional contract worth approximately $60 million — roughly 560 million Swedish kronor — with Lee Health for ongoing work on a new hospital and medical office building in Fort Myers, Florida, the company announced Oct. 2, 2026.
The supplemental agreement builds on an existing relationship between Skanska and Lee Health, the regional nonprofit health system serving Southwest Florida. The value of the new contract will be added to Skanska's US order bookings, reflecting continued demand for large-scale healthcare infrastructure in the Sun Belt region.
